In laymans language what is mrsa? could the answer be short and sweet as is for a try-out?
Answers:
Methicillin resistant Staphylococcus aureus.
Staph aureus is a bacteria that cause pustules and abscesses and other diseases. It was one of the first bacteria to develop resistance to penicillin. Scientists be able to modify the penicillin molecule so that it would be effective against Staph aureus. Methicillin was the benchmark for these penicillin base antibiotics. But now the bacteria has evolved over again, and certain strains are resistant to methicillin and most other antibiotics.
MRSA is by definition a strain of Staphylococcus aureus to be precise resistant to a large group of antibiotics called the beta-lactams, which include the penicillins and the cephalosporins. Source(s): http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/MRSA

MRSA stands for Methicillin-resistant Staphylococcus aureus. This is the name for organisms of the common pathological Staphylococcal group that have, through genetic mutation, become resistant to what be at one time the ultimate antibiotic used to kill it. They are in effect purely man made, surrounded by that if the organism had never been exposed to multiple, often unnecessary, antibiotics, due to their use surrounded by medical, veterinary and farming practises, they would not exist in any significant numbers. metacillin resistant Staphylococcus aureus.
a evolution of bacteria that is resistant to traditional antibiotic treatment.
this evolution be forced by man's overuse of pharmaceutical antibiotic products.
treatment is usually stronger anti-biotic products that are not as heavily prescribed and therefore less familiar to the microbes being eradicated.. a couple are metrinazidole or pennicillin VK.
