How to do a Basic Neuro Work-up?
What are come things that can be checked to to a basic evaluation of someones neurological status. I am just trying to do a basic evaluation, things similar to PERRL are helpful. I am not so concerned with orientation only just physical tests that can be done.

stuff that you do in a neuro workup are actually really confident to do and will seem silly/obvious once you learn them. i would recommend buying a physical examination set book book. both medical and nursing phhysical exam books have that stuff in them. you can buy older edition for really cheap too!
EDIT: you must be evaluated by an MD for any diagnoses. but learning for self-betterment is never a bad thing and can oblige you when talking with your physician about enduring things.
Any basic neurology text book will teach you how to check the XII cranial nerves and the divergent nerves and muscle strengths. It just takes more practice.
