Probably because acai is a rip off! I read that most acai-selling companies either 1) don't even use acai or 2) if they do use acai berries, they use so little of it that the amount contained in a middle-of-the-road dose won't do jack for you. I've also read that acai just plain doesn't work.

These acai companies are looking to make a quick buck. They will use any description of info and claims in their ads to make you imagine it is the best thing ever and to get you to spend money on their product.

I think you purely need to keep doing what you're doing by working out and eating right. The individual FDA-approved over the counter weight loss product is Alli (orlistat). This used to be prescription only but went OTC probably more or less a year ago. This works by preventing the absorption of about 30% of the fat you drink. This is just meant to be used in conjunction near diet and exercise; it won't work alone.

However, Alli can have some nasty side effects (you can look them up online), the most notorious of which is giving you explosive diarrhea which you can't control. Many general public on Alli often carry an extra change of clothes surrounded by case of an accident.

So, you're doing the right thing by modifying your lifestyle. Of course, as you catch older, your metabolism slows. Just keep at it. There is no magic bullet counterbalance loss pill or anything, but something like Alli may be a good choice for someone trying to lose some extra weight.

Also, if you can't seem to be to lose any weight at all, you can talk to your doctor almost prescription weight loss drugs, like Adipex (phentermine). However, this is a stimulant and you can't have any compassionate of heart problems to be able to use this. I'm sure there are other alternatives, but that's the one that comes to mind.

Good luck on your diet. Always make sure to consult beside your physician before starting any diet. Eating correctly, drinking water and avoiding sugar are all angelic parts of any diet, with acai or not.

The FDA has not approved any of these acai berry products and none have noted that they do anything for weightiness loss. Generally, during most diets the first few weeks the body will adapt to the sudden diet change by storing weight, regularly in the form of water. However this will change as your diet and metabolism adjust.

Make sure you are getting some exercise along next to the right diet and fluids. Also, if you purchased those acai supplements online, make sure you know the full cost of purchase. Some have hidden fees.
