Does Spain still administer the single anti-tetanus shot or is it of late the triple?
About a year ago, I was in Spain on holiday and cut my back on some tiles steps. It be pretty bad and needed stitches but also and anti-tetanus injection. I was told that I had to get hold of a top-up shot one year after the original but I've just rung my doctor's surgery and they said that it lasts for 10 years so I don't stipulation one. However, because I thought it would get in the way of the top-up shot, i didn't enjoy my year 10 inoculations against tetanus, diphtheria and polio. My doctor said that they don't manufacture single tetanus shots in this country any more and they are all mixed surrounded by with the diphtheria and polio inoculations. I'm not sure if they still use only anti-tetanus shots in Spain though and if they don't, I'll obligation to find a way of getting the 2 inoculations that I need.

When your are a youth (13-14) they administer the triple shot (la triple-virica). I think when you get a cut is only the tetanus.
3 years ago, i be injured, they asked me if i had had the triple shot as a teenager (I didn't) and they put me a shot, they said it be the tetanus ,they didn't tell me anything about a top-up.
You can call the hospital where on earth you were treated and ask.
Go ahead and get the triple shot. The Tdap (which is pertussis, btw- a cough infection, not polio) shot won't hurt you, and it won't mess with your tetanus shot from in advance.
I don't think they make the single injections of anything anymore. It's more expensive and takes up plentifully more room to store stock. It also makes it harder to keep track of when you got which injection. It's cheaper and easier purely to have the 3-in-1, and i think that's where everyone is very soon. Source(s): Pharmacist
