Can tylenol, ibuprofen, advil, etc. bring departure by overdose?
I once heard that one of them can kill you in your sleep if you overdose after go to bed...just wondering?
Answers:
Yes but Tylenol won't kill you overnight: months of misery are to be expected. And ibuprofen may do so contained by a few hours to a day or two, but the dose required is truly massive, and most people simply can't get that plentiful into the stomach without puking them up.
No, they can't cause death by overdose by themselves.
Stupid relatives think so, and come to the ER saying "I took 10 tylenol trying to kill myself".
We roll our eyes, verbs out the leather restraints, foley catheter, liquid charcoal, nasogastric tube (goes up your nose, down your throat into your stomach) and have a great time making you remember your mistake. Then we name Psych Services and put it into your permanent medical record so that every time you go to the hospital and the doctor pulls up your transcript he will see "suicide attempt". ER staff hate psych patients. There's nothing we can do to fix you, so you're wasting our ER bed. Source(s): ER nurse
They will not kill you contained by your sleep. They will cause liver, kidney or gastric damage that can lead to a slow, uncomfortable sickening death.
