Can you overdose on vitamins?

Answers:
Yes. ONE-A-DAY. Very simple.

But not on Vitamin C. Your body flushes that out.

Call Poison Control 1-8OO-222-1222 if you overdose on anything. Don't even hesitate.
Vitamins A, D, E and K are fat-soluble and can be retained in the body for extended periods of time; these four vitamins can inflict toxicity in massive doses. Other vitamins, such as the various Bs and vitamin C, are water soluble; if you steal too much, your kidneys just pump the excess out into your urine. They are unlikely to cause an overdose, unless you already suffer from kidney problems. Source(s): I'm a physician.
I am pretty sure you can overdose on vitamins, but unlike other medication or drugs i doubt it'll kill you. at worst you'll probably get similar to stomach cramps and a bit of vomiting or diarrhea.
Yes, but is usually not possible unless it is a high dosage. Fat soluble vitamins are the ones to worry about approaching Vitamin A. Accutane, an acne medication, has high levels of vit A so dermatologists own their patients get blood work done once a month because it can severely damage your liver>. Look up on fat soluble vitamins and if you are still worried stir see your doctor! Good Luck :D
Definitely. If you overdose vitamins for a long period of time, it may cause you physical problems.
Yes, Vitamin A. Don't take too much. Don't pocket too many minerals (which is often included in most multi-vitamins) any. Too much of anything is bad. You would have to take A TON to in actuality "overdose." You probably wouldn't die unless you're on serious meds in any case.
yes its dangerous to own too much ...anything in excess is not good...
Yes.
An overdose of any sort of vitamin or mineral will surely enjoy some side effects. They vary depending on the type of vitamins.
yesh
you sure can....overdosing on different vitamins have different side effects....
Yeah....take too much of those gummy vites and you can overdose on vitamin B.....Dont try it relations will laugh at your obituary.
I assume you're discussion about daily multivitamin tablets. Most of these contain iron, which can actually be really impossible if you take too much of it. I'm pretty sure it poisons your liver.
we have 2 kind of vitamin 1 is soluble in river such as vitamin C and the other is soluble in fat like vitamin A . if u over dose vitamin A the extra vitamin remains surrounded by ur body and endangere ur health . about vitamin C most of it will be repelied from ur body and isnt that much dangrous . but its better to avoid overdosing
Yes, the only exception being vitamin C, which is wet soluble (any excess will just come out in urine.)
Yes.

of course it depends on which vitamin as to the outlook of the overdose symptom and its severity.

Symptoms of vitamin A toxicity include irritability, headache, double vision, dry and cracking skin, brittle nails, excessive hair loss, nausea and vomiting, counterbalance loss, bone and joint pain, liver damage, fatigue, bleeding gums, hemorrhage, and coma. Women who are pregnant or may become pregnant should be especially guarded, as excess doses are known to cause fetal abnormalities.

Symptoms of vitamin B6 toxicity include self-assurance damage and associated numbness, weakness, and loss of function in the extremities.
