For adjectives you Lexapro users?

How many of you had Lexapro wear off? And what did you switch to?

Be advise that Pristiq and Effexor are only SNRIs at high dosages. At low dosages it is only an SSRI, and this is the dosage length most people fall into.

I was switched from Lexapro to Pristiq, an SNRI. (Lexapro is an SSRI, and affects mainly serotonin reuptake while Pristiq affects reuptake of serotonin and norepinephrine). I was switched hastily so I didn't have any withdrawals or anything like that.

With Pristiq, I enjoy more energy, I stopped gaining weight, and it seem more effective for my depression, although everyone is different.

Edit: Michelle said it inhibits norepinephrine reuptake at higher doses only. This isn't true. It will inhibit serotonin and NE at liberating doses. There are only 50 mg and 100 mg strengths available, and it works like this at both dosages.
