I've have to dawdle weeks to count tritium sample and they've be within scint fluid that time. Is that a problem?
Answers:
It should not be a problem since the half-life of tritium is over 12 years. You should, however, place your scintillation vials in the dark and even in the cold for several hours until that time counting to minimize the chance of getting any significant chemiluminescence.
