Is this a side affect of ibuprofen?
ok so this was really random but all of sudden my arm started burning so i looked at it and notice a few red lines on the inside of my arm. they are slightly lumpy and look kind of like welts. i took 2 pills at around 8:30-9:00 P.M.

i hope u dont have any itching... best to goto a doc and get urself tested. he may suggest an elevated platele count...

i take ibuprofen all the time,
i've never have that side effect.
i also had to take 1 800mg per day of it up to that time for my achilles tendinitis. the pills came with a page full of the rarest side effects and that was not in that.
so, i'd say no for sure.
allergic reaction go to the hospital
when you wake up and its still close to that, then go see a doctor, it doubt it has to do next to ibuprofen unless your alergic to it

What you describe are not typical side effects of the drug.
If it does not travel away in 24-48 hours or gets worse I would see a doctor.

It's quite possible. I think the ibuprofen, a blood thinner, overstretched your vein. Right now I don't think you have anything to verbs about unless you're having any trouble breathing or any other serious symptoms. The welts will step away on their own. But I would suggest that you stay away from ibuprofen in the future, because allergic reactions tend to carry worse when you use the allergen again.
Take tylenol for now, and talk to your doctor about it at your subsequent appointment.
