Eyesight numbers: What do they be determined?
I went to my physical yesterday and my eyesight turned up 30-40. I have no idea what those numbers mingy or how they will affect me. Help?

Read this as you can see at 30 feet what most people should be able to see at 40 foot. So in other words, your vision isn't as good as it should be. You own to be closer (30 feet away from something) to read/see/etc. what most people can read/see/etc. when they are farther away (40 feet).
Well, it sounds like you should see an optometrist. They will dispense you an actual prescription, and then you can take it to a place like Lenscrafters for specs or contacts. Just having 30-40 vision doesn't mean you hold to get glasses over contacts or vice versa. It all depends on your nouns. Contacts don't always work for everybody. Just schedule an eye exam and they should take contemplation of your problem.
