What should my friend do if the infiltration site of a TDAP vac. nozzle have swollen to the size of a baseball?
Friend got this Combined Tetanus, Diphtheria and Pertussis (TDAP) vaccine some time ago and now she has a confuse in her arm the size of a baseball. It's severely affecting the utilization of her arm and she claims she's also become very lethargic. At work, she have had random spurts of profuse sweating, (about twice per hour) which is very deviant for her. It has been 4 days since she received the vaccination, and while the side-effects do state swelling, I would think this magnitude of such isn't quite run-of-the-mill.
She also mentions hummingbirds doing head-banging motions in her trees but I'm sure this side-effect is moreso from her fixed dementia, which will be covered another time.
Can anyone suggest something?
Answers:
go to a doctor
This mechanism that your friend is probably having an allergic reaction to the medicine, you necessitate to take her to the doctor immediately and have it checked out. If you don't, base on how the swelling is, she could be seriously affected. So you should go take her to the doctor as soon as possible.
Hope she get better! Source(s): I took a college class on the body
I don't have medical advice for her, but she needs to report this to VAERS. http://vaers.hhs.gov/pdf/VAERS_brochure.…
She can read the packet insert for more information about the vaccine. There are two TdaP brands: Boostrix and Adacel. I don't have the package insert for Adacel, but here's the one for Boostrix. http://us.gsk.com/products/assets/us_boo…
She should really consider not getting another vaccine ever again.
