Why be my brain so messed up yestuday? i couldnt function propley.?

im bipolar, my dr has given me a short course of steroids for an allergy. yesterday i just felt so confused, similar to i was going mad or somthing. it was awfull. do you regard as it was the steroids like my husband said? i never want to feel approaching that again.
