You'll be prepared within an emergency.Its always a plus to put on a resume,may get you a foot in the door on a opening interview and of course there is always the gratification of knowing that you can stockpile someones life if neccesary.By being CPR certified you are also covered by the Good Samaritan Law.If anything may go wrong while you are performing CPR you are not held responsible.The CPR exam is lawfully easy to complete anyway. :) Source(s): CPR certified

If you are ever in a situation where someone has stopped breathing due to choking , drowing , or medical emergency; you will be capable of respond without hesitation and apply what you have knowledgeable through the CPR course and hopefully be able to get that person to start breathing. There is a worthy chance you will break someone's ribs when performing CPR but that is to be expected. I encourage you to thieve the course. You may save a life one day. That would be awesome.

Yes there is you can become a lifeguard and enjoy a job! You have to go through courses but you don't obligation to take the CPR classes.

The benefit is the fact that you took the time and effort to win the training to possible save the life of someone close to you, or someone you don't even know. You should be commended on that fact! I own been CPR trained since 1974 and for a couple of years, was also a CPR/Instructor. I commend you myself. Who knows, possibly someday you'll have the chance to save "Your Mama's" go so her intellect can continue to be a blessing to us all.
