Paracrine Regulation of Muscle Blood Flow by Endothelium?
Does anyone know anything about this? Or where to look for info?
I'm totally stuck. thanks!
Answers:
Sounds abundantly like nitric oxide production for use as a vasodilator (endothelium derived relaxing factor). Not sure about the cause of its synthesis... but it is from the bin liner of the vessels and it stimulates a guanylate cyclase-->cGMP-->signal cascade leading to the dephosphorylation of the myosin muted chain which relaxes smooth muscle in the walls of blood vessels.
