Doctor Refused to Write me Prescriptions. Should I find Another?
I recently moved from DC to Delaware and had to get a current doctor. I made my first appointment and I asked him to write me a prescription for birth control and phentermine. He told me no for the phentermine and sent me to another doctor for the birth control. I refused to pay him and he gave me my co-pay vertebrae. Do you think it was right for him to refuse giving me those medication?

find a doctor who practices medicine more than politics
You own said it yourself, 34% body fat and you seem to be gaining just muscle mass. Why do you have a need for phentermine?
In the '90s phentermine was combined beside fenfluramine, and Fen-phen was the resulting new weight slackening drug. Later in that decade 30% of Fen-phen users were reported have serious heart spigot problems, thus Fen-phen was removed from the market. Although later studies showed that the problem be fenfluramine related, no studies were done on phentermine. Deserved or not the notoriety of fenfluramine stuck near phentermine. Also, since phentermine is the in the same class as amphetamines, the tendency for invective is always in mind. It is a schedule IV drug within the DEA's controlled substance list. Maybe it is for those reasons, why your doctor declined to prescribe phentermine.
Doctors not up to date with the practice of OB/Gyne, are not comfortable with prescribing birth control pills. Politics has nil to do with his decision to send you to another doctor.
You found a biddable ethical doctor with scrupples. Stay away from him, if you must. You might not like him.
Prescriptions are not always the best solutions for our problems. The doctor has nothing of authority when he refuses to give you prescriptions. He absolutely requirements the best for you, but if you dun feel fine with that you should consult other doctors just to engineer sure the decision of your doctor was right, but don't change him unless you product sure he was right first (by CONSULTING other doctors). Good luck, and practice is a very efficient method to keep you healthy keep on it ;)
Unless it was something that would effect your health in a fruitless way, then yes, I would say it is wrong. He probably should own discussed why he did not want to write the prescription. He may very well have a valid apology, however I don't know for sure. If you do not like or trust your doctor then I suggest you find a new one. Best of Luck
The doctor had a right to refuse you the prescriptions if he feel that they were not something you needed. i would find another doctor.
Are you obese to the point that you require an appetite suppressant in order to live a normal vivacity? If so, then, yes, find another doctor. If not... what's the problem, here?
You are entitled to make your choice, so you do enjoy that right. However, do you know why they did not want to give you phentermine. I would definitely go to another doctor and see what they own to say. I am not sure why you are taking phentermine. But talk to a new doctor and enjoy a discussion about it, and find out why or why not?
You should always get multiple opinion.
Gee, it sounds like you found a doctor with nouns. You might want one like that some day.
depends on how over weightiness you are. you can't legally or him give legally phentermine unless you are extremely over shipment. can't just ask and receive. so i guess you can go where you want but the outcome for that will be like peas in a pod
