Ambien...is this possible?
I only took ambien once in my life and it be 10 mgs. 7 days later I went to the doctors...my breasts really hurt so I got a blood exam and it said I was pregnant. I heard ambien could cause a false positive on a pregnancy exam Because it could raise your HCG hormones. Would it still be in my blood for 7 days and cause a false positive on a BLOOD pregnancy trial?

I doubt it...but even if it did raise HCG hormones,it wouldn't make your boobs hurt. That is only a normal side effect of pregnancy.
If you are pregnant,i'd let your doctor know what you took, because i don't think it's advisable to give somebody a lift such strong medications while pregnant x
HCG is made by the embryo. So I don't realize the statement "Ambein raises HCG levels."
Now I suppose if you were already pregnant the Ambien could within fact raise the levels of HCG.
But non-pregnant women do not enjoy HCG in their system.
I just recently had a false positive urine HCG but a refusal beta HCG and didn't know about the connection until reading your question (I have also taken Ambien) I'm not sure about staying in your system for 7 days though. You should probably retest in a few days. If the HCG rises and you haven't rob Ambien, I'd say you are pregnant. Good luck! Source(s): http://contraception.about.com/od/contra…
OR you fell deeply asleep and became impregnate with out your consent or knowledge!
