My eyes are dilated from a 25mg pill of Benadryl?
i took a 25 mg dosage of a pill called diphenhydramine hydrochloride and now my eyes are very dilated, i enjoy look up side affects of this drug and it seems that this only occurs contained by an overdose, i know i didn't overdose i am just wondering what i should do about this

You almost to be sure did not get this from taking a Benadryl orally (I say almost because it might be possible beside denervation hypersensitivity but you should know about that for other reasons). Far more likely is that you had some diphenhydramine residue on your appendage and then you touched/rubbed your eyes and got a little within there. That definitely would do it.
Edit: Denervation hypersensitivity would only be at play if a sympathomimetic agonist be applied...so not applicable for Benadryl
Benadry (diphenhydramine) has anticholinergic side effects. These include potential for sleepiness and blurred daydream from pupil size change.
You do not have to "overdose" to get side effects.
Besides, you did not transmit us your age or weight. 25mg for a 90 pound 14 yo is more likely to cause side effects that 25mg on a 200 pound 50yo. Source(s): MD
