How long would you live for after have your heart removed?

Just finished watching "Apocalypto" and curious how long you'd survive having your heart cut out.
Random question I know, but I am curious.
Answers:
that depends on the definition of death you want to use. Death is as a rule characterized by the patient being apnic (not breathing) and in aystole (absence of electrical entertainment. in the heart, i.e heart isn't moving), If you remove the heart, then you can't say it is providing blood flow tho the body and the long-suffering is dead. However you move to nerve function in the brain if the lenient is on Life support.
A healthy heart is obtained from a donor who is brain limp but on life support. The healthy heart is put into a special solution that preserves the organ. Hence your question does not arise.
In heart transplantation, the patient's entire heart is not removed. Only vanished atrium is retained. The donor heart is trimmed to fit onto the patients remaining left atrium and the great vessels are sutured in place. The foreign heart is restarted, the patient is weaned from cardiopulmonary bypass and the chest cavity is closed.
The removal of a healthy heart is criminal. More over the age of the donor must be less than 60 years.

Your brain can go for 5 minutes short oxygen before suffering irreversible damage. At this point even if they could put you on machines you would still be brain dead (and to me that mechanism you are dead-dead).

However, usually the shock of having your heart removed from your body and the massive blood loss therefore involved would cause you to die much faster. They used to ask culture who received beheading sentences (for death sentences back in the day) to save blinking as long as possible. One doctor even screamed the name of the man after his head be on the ground. The head opened his eyes and stared at the doctor for like 15 second and then the eyes slowly closed. Pretty creepy!!
seconds till you bled out and your brain stem died
