Blood pressure procedure enquiry?
What would happen if a doctor who had checked the blood pressure of someone with large blood pressure prior to him checking a person with much lower blood pressure but not lowering the pressure of his blood pressure machine so that the pressure of the cuff on the arm of the character who has the lower blood pressure is much higher than their actual blood pressure. Would this cause persistent damage and what would be the symptoms ?
Answers:
They don't work like that he have to deflate the arm leash before he attach it to yours he then pumps it up until the blood stops the take a reading afterwards he release the air pressure until he get a pulse then transport another reading
I could go on and on answering this but the bottom line is the pressure in the cuff go to zero each time you take a reading on a unmarked patient. The reason is you cannot remove the cuff from a patient minus deflating it (bringing the pressure to zero). Source(s): Forensic psychopharmacologist, etc.
