What are the positives and negative of "The Pill"?
My family is talking about getting me on birth control..
Not because I'm super frisky, but to relieve regulate my periods.
I have to make the final conclusion.
I just want to know some ups and downs..

Well for me it really cleared up my acne (with the help of a skin care line)
It also made my length last only 3 days and they were really restrained. My cramping was like a minor stomach ache and I didn't perceive sick to my stomach at all.
On the other hand, my emotions are somewhat more jumpy, they aren't really bad but sometimes I'll want to cry over the smallest things and suddenly the feeling is gone. I'm also profoundly more irritable during my period and I run on a shorter fuse
I think it depends on which medication you use though but I hope this helps!
p.s. DONT SKIP MORE THAN 2 DAYS, you will catch you period early and even if you continue taking you regular pills, it messes you cycle up
Well the positives are a lighter extent and a much lower risk of pregnancy. However, there is uncertainty as to whether or not it can increase the risk of some cancers, such as breast or cervical.
I am an emergency room physician, so I don't know too much something like all of this, but I would not put my daughter on it, nor would I let her take it if she be under 18. I believe a woman should be chaste until she is financially stable and able to raise a child, not neccesarily married but of late in the position where she can provide for herself and the baby contained by the event he walks out.
