Can semen from your throat be detected when getting a throat culture done?
I had a throat culture done today and I should be getting the results tomorrow, but I was just wondering if it's possible for them to detect semen within it from your throat, it isn't a screening for any sort of STD or STI though, they're going to see if I have strep or not.
Answers:
No, you wouldn't see them on a throat culture (microbiology) because that test is performed specifically to grow germs. However, other specimen types sent for cytology often reveal semen, and then we all know what you've be up to. Its fairly common however, so don't feel too embarassed.
The answer is no, because the throat culture is not designed to detect semen. It is to detect bacterial infection, commonly Streptococcus. The swab from your throat is smeared on a petri dish to grow bacteria and it's sensitivity to reliable antibiotics for the purpose of treatment. Also semen is sterile in a healthy male, for this reason it will not even be detected if one looks for it. Hope this helps.
EWW,immediately why would you let the guy *** in your mouth knowing you had this interview coming up??YUCK!!
I don't guess so but that's disgusting, you shouldn't have oral sex. Guess you have to wait and see...that wouldn't be an leeway if you had kept your mouth closed and the snake in the cage!
Probably not semen, but as an interesting side note, did you know that you can get an STD of the throat? That's right, gonorrhea can make a contribution you swollen tonsils and a sore throat, just like strep can. They might pick THAT up on a bacterial culture.
