Is It possible to grasp a rigidity headache short any stress?

I get a pain that starts from the back of my guide where my head and neck meet(back of my pave the way and upper neck). Then it spreads from there to my forehead and it feels like its at the back my eyes. This sounds like a tension headache to me but the headaches come when im purely watching tv or in class listening to the teacher. I dont get the impression stressed when they come. What could this be?

I get stress headache all the time. I have migranes, and my doctor prescribed that Imitrex for them. It worked, but I no longer use it. They can come from a number of things. You several need your eyes checked out? I was getting headaches on the computer/at the movies/watching TV and terminated up with glasses. (I lost them lol) but they did help. Possibly thats newly how you get headaches. If you are worried go to a doctor and ask him in the region of it. They would be able to tell you a proper diagnosis more than us YA people Source(s): I enjoy hedaches all the time. Mine are heriditary
Yes. This question is giving me a tension headache and on the other hand I do not feel stressed.
I used to get these a while back. It is a collar thing. You need to get it "cracked". I go to a local "student" chiropractic service. It a service where the students practice on you while being supervised, just contained by case they break your neck or kill you accidentally. I go for about two years, about once or twice a month. It is cheap. Some Universities have this service. About $10 to $20 a session.
I do not suffer any more.
Actually the problem be relieved after a few sessions but I continued because of other joint problems.

Visit this site. Yes it is in Australia but you will find it informative to your enquiry(inquiry?).

Yes, because tension in your neck creates the headache. This muscle stiffness can be aggravated by mental stress however most times it's simply head and neck position.

If you had scoliosis, in that most likely already is some shifts of the spine. This more easily causes boldness pressure and muscle imbalance, and in the upper neck can motive headache.

Students often get this from the neck strain of constantly looking down at books, reading, studying, writing. Those muscles at the bed of the skull are called your occipitals and attach the skull to the 1st couple vertebrae.

When I was a full time student, I used to get exceptionally tight occipital muscles and would often get headaches.

To fix the problem I made sure to see a chiropractor periodically and I also studied and habitually read with a book upright against something like a bookend. If I be at the library I used to just grab one off of one of the book shelves.

Most advantageous however was this pillow I use: http://www.tractionneckpillow.com
Could be a neck problem , poor posture , a chiro or physio may help.
