What are the LONG TERM effects on vicodin norco if single taking 2-3 pills a daytime over a year?
I only take about 2-3 pills every hours of darkness. Been doing this for about a year now. What are the effects of this?

If you don't drink, incredibly little long term effect. The acetaminophen component of the pills is a lot more toxic than the hydrocodone, and acetaminophen is not real toxic surrounded by those dosages. If you do this for pain, you likely won't get addicted (or addicted badly). If you do it lately to sleep, or to get high, you'll become dependent on it, and won't be able to sleep minus it for a while (a pretty unpleasant while).

Vicodin is totally addictive, and I agree with the other poster who mentions to watch the TV Drama, "House". Since this drug is for pain, I am curious why you lift it at night, as if it might be a sleeping pill to get you through the night. It is dodgy, and should be treated as such. If you are having a side affect from a drug then you need to address this beside your doctor to see what he/she says about your individual needs and possibly a change in medicine or dosage.

Dependency, respiration problems, kidney problems, hepatic (liver) failure, decrease mental ability (both in thinking and in sensation), not to mention the effects on your... more private places... which won't be fun. Bottom flash, long term use should be monitored by a doctor with regular blood tests!
You will get bad withdrawal if u try to stop! sweating, shaking, insomnia, loss of appetite and a complete list of other nasty stuff. When you abuse opiates/opioids your opiate receptors downregulate which can engineer it hard to enjoy things not high similar to you once could or even when you are high.
