Allergy eye drop overdose?

I used some eye drops (2 drops per eye) for my itchy eyes abut maybe 3 hours ago. Then just about 10 minutes ago they started to itch definite bad so I put in one more surrounded by each eye. Do you think thats fine? Its not an overdose is it? It says use no more than 4 does a afternoon and that would be every 6 hours, but I took a second dose at 3 hours. Will this harm my eyes?

If it is prescription eye drops - call a doctor. Depends on the drops.

If it is just the OTC eye drops (like Clear-Eye) consequently it is just a saline solution, mainly it is salt and dampen. Preservatives are in it, but that should be no big deal.

If they are just saline eye drops, afterwards overdose? Probably not. For example, Ibuprofen has a label on the back near recommended dosages. But an adult that is recommended to take merely two 100 mg tablets may take an extra one for the extra strength.

But if anything, especially if these eye drops are prescription (who knows whats in it), if your eyesight begin to blur (or double-vision, anything out of the ordinary) call a physician immediately.
