Health affects of radium?

i have to do a report on radium and its health affects early on and close to 50 years after you say got a radium capsule up your proboscis or in your ear. any help is GREATLY appreciated, i can seem to find any well-mannered sources so if you can give me any information or sites it wold be very kind.
