What's a correct alternative to Ativan?

I had a prescription for .5 mg Ativan, and I loved it. Maybe a little too much. Luckily, there be no refills and I'm out. I'm not going to ask my doctor for more. I could feel myself becoming addicted to them. Anyways, what's a good alternative to Ativan? Ideally, something that's not addictive. It would also be great if it didn't generate you drowsy. It could be a prescription or something natural/an herb.

Drugs such as Lexapro, Paxil, Prozac work well for many people for any anxiety or depression. They take 2 - 4 weeks to really kick in.

Ask your doctor in the order of them.

Also, St. John's wart is said to help some with depression.
