Question nearly Amoxicillin?
I've been coughing terribly for the past 2 weeks - I cough so tough that I was throwing up flem.. (gross, i know)... So I went to the doctor on Saturday and he prescribed me Amoxicillin. I take it twice a time (with food).. The doc told me if I wasnt feeling 80% better by Thursday that I should come back to see him.
So I've been taking the medication and I'm not coughing as bad - but i developed a sore throat and a very painful ear twinge.. Is this normal? Isnt the medicine supposed to be preventing these things??

Antibiotics when it comes down to it, really isn't good for you. What it does is verbs the natural flora that our body needs. After your finish taking your anitbiotics, take probiotics to repair and restore the colloquial flora. Probiotics can be found in any healthfood store.
I am not against antibiotics. I only take them when important. Amoxicillin has been so overly prescribed it is now showing signs of resistance to undisputed bacteria. It's the most common antibiotic prescribed.
Talk to you doctor about the symptoms you are have. He may want to prescribe you another stronger antibiotic or tell you to continue the one you have and christen if your symptoms worsen.
The medicine is an antibiotic, which means it's supposed to decimate or inhibit the growth of bacteria. That could mean that there be already bacteria there that it hasn't had a casual to kill and the bacteria is creating new symptoms. It could also stingy that you have something more serious, like mono. You should definitely transmit the doctor what you are experiencing. The doctor can't know for sure what is wrong unless he tries a couple different options. Sounds like it's time for plan b.

I would go back to the doctor. What your experiencing could be an ear infection that the antibiotic isn't treating. Go to the doctor or a walk-in clinic immediately. Ear infections could form you lose your hearing if not treated.
