What is aconite the tablet ?

in my friends room ,( age 13) she had aconite the tablets in tube , i be wondering what it could be for and if she is ok:O it also said above aconite, > homeopathic , ?
Answers:
I believe that aconite is extremely poisonous - deadly! Many years ago my dad dug up a plant in the garden, moving it with his uncovered hands. He didn't know it at the time, but discovered later that it was aconite, and if he have had even a slight cut, he could have absorbed the poison.

A muted touch of the juice causes a numb, tingling sensation - any more has a similar effect to cyanide, paralysing the breathing and stopping the heart.

What is your friend doing near it in the first place? DO NOT TAKE THESE TABLETS!
Homeopathic aconite is safe as are all homeopathic preparations, equally they are all worthless with definitely no biological effects at all.

As Rhianna rightly points out by the time a substance is diluted to homeopathic levels the active substance is no longer present. Source(s): GP for more years than I perfectionism to remember
The herb itself (Aconitum napellus, commonly known as "monkshood") is highly toxic, yes.

But this is not the case beside HOMEOPATHIC aconite - a common homeopathic remedy for sudden illness (aches, colds, coughs, sore throat, flu, chills and fever, etc.) especially following exposure to extreme weather change.

Without opening the "can of worms" that is the debate on the efficacy of homeopathy, I can at least assure you that the homeopathic aconite is 100% non-toxic. If it's a potency greater than 12X there's physically no chemical content from the raw herb in the homeopathic remedy at all. Source(s): Naturopathic Doctor
The herb itself is quite toxic but if it's in the form a homoeopathic aconite consequently it is quite worthless and non toxic as it has been diluted to such an extent that in attendance is not a single molecule of any active substance left. Source(s): Registered Nurse
