Is Prednisone a sulfur base drug?
I've been taking it for a day and around when I take my mouth and antenna start burning and I can't breathe. I figured I was having an allergic hostile response and took Benadryl and I seemed to be okay. We're trying to figure out what I'm allergic too. I know that I can't take anything sulfur base and wanted to know if Prednisone is, but couldn't find it anywhere on the internet and I don't have a real prescription; it's newly a sample packet from the doctor with the name, dose, and directions.
Answers:
As far as I know, prednisone is not sulfur base, in fact, it is sometimes used to counteract allergic reactions. Aspirin, diuretics, blood thinners approaching coumadin, cyclosporine, oral diabetes medications like glucophage, and some seizure and antibiotics can impose interactions.
Not a diagnosis, just a suggestion.
In response to your edit, Glucophage and Metformin are the same article, so yes, it could be an interaction. Source(s): EMT
