What is homeostatic inconsistency?
This Dr. said he wants to want me to take a urine test for that because I own depression...I tried looking it up but still do not understand it.

Homeostatic imbalance in simple terms (well simpler than above...) is simply an upset within your bodies natural balance of nutrients and vitamins...
It comes from the greek word homeostasis meaning 'to stand equally'
Lack of guaranteed nutrients can leave you feeling depressed, tired and unable to do anything, it can also affect your means to thing straight...
Human homeostasis refers to the body's ability to regulate physiologically its inner environment to ensure its stability contained by response to fluctuations in the outside environment and the weather. The liver, the kidneys, and the brain (hypothalamus) help maintain homeostasis .
The liver is responsible for metabolizing toxic substances and maintain carbohydrate metabolism. The kidneys are responsible for regulating blood water levels, re-absorption of substances into the blood, maintenance of saline and ion levels in the blood, regulation of blood pH, and excretion of urea and other wastes.
An inability to assert homeostasis may lead to death or a disease, a condition known as homeostatic inconsistency. For instance, heart failure may occur when negative feedback mechanism become overwhelmed and destructive positive feedback mechanisms take over.[1]
Other diseases which result from a homeostatic imbalance include diabetes, dehydration, hypoglycemia, hyperglycemia, gout and any disease cause by the presence of a toxin in the bloodstream. Medical intervention can help restore homeostasis and possibly prevent permanent blight to the organs.

homeostatic means that your cell membranes are making sure the cell is working properly, and they are letting out proper molecules and letting in sheltered molecules. If this is imbalanced maybe your cells are not letting out the garbage and they are letting within bad viruses. Also this means that your cell membrane is not regulating the proper functions of your cell, so your cells are not functinoing normally.
