Plastic Surgeon Questions......?
What good can a plastic surgeon give to a patient besides elective surgical procedures. Are nearby many Plastic Surgeons involved in Business and Entrepreneurial ventures since they dont own a constantly changing schedule and more of a steady planned schedule? Aslo is the Field of Plastic Surgery going to be around for a long time? Is it going to be dog-eared by the economic crisis in the future? Will we other need plastic surgeons? Is it better to be an Orthopedic Surgeon?

Yes plastic surgery is going to be around for a very VeRy long time ... as long as there are people out within who find things wrong with themselves - there will be plastic surgery.
If anything the current economic climate might separate the men from the boys surrounded by the sense that the crap doc's might not do well which is always good
Just because a procedure is elective doesn't make it meaningless to the patient who have it. This is especially true for people who've had work done on scars or other signs of injury or disease. Plastic surgeons are on send for at hospitals just like other surgeons, because people can come into the emergency rooms near hideous injuries that require a plastic surgeon's skills to help repair immediately, so I don't know how you got the indentation that they have more of a steady planned schedule. People might not always turn for face lifts or boob jobs, but here will always be a demand for plastic surgeons to do corrective surgery. Whether someone is better off as a plastic surgeon or an orthopedic surgeon depends on that person's fastidious skills, abilities, and interests. For plentiful patients, their skills in reconstruction from trauma, accidents, congentital defect can change a patient's life. Plastics isn't only just about cosmetics. Reconstructive surgery is part of the specialty as well. Some plastic surgeons also work on burns and foot injuries, for instance. One teaching hospital near here even rotates hand injuries between the orthopedic and plastic services one week to the subsequent.
1] cleft lip/palate repair. breast reconstruction after mastectomy, burn patients skin grafts, face etc. trauma repair, skin cancer repair, birth defect.
2] plastics still have emergencies and add on surgeries - you can't plan for disasters
