Eat a in good health balanced diet and exercise. Try eating foods that aren't processed in anyway. Cure the grounds not the symptoms.
GNC sells supplements. Supplements don't have to be FDA approved or regulated, which means here doesn't have to be any actual proof that they work or are safe for them to make the claims they do. As such, anything you hear from a GNC hand should be taken with a grain salt. A rapid search of Pubmed (the online repository for scientific research) yields several articles discussing the use of niacin to help out reduce LDL (bad cholesterol) levels, but it does not appear to have any direct effect on circulation, per se.
Hmmm... that depends on what specifically you're trying to achieve. Niacin will cause a massive release of intracellular histamine, which cause "flushing." That means that blood rushes into the capillary beds near the skin - you skin will look beet red and will be aware of warm to the touch, you'll feel tingly/itchy, etc.

The effect is dose-dependent (higher dose = more intense reaction.) If you pinch the same amount of niacin regularly, over the course of a few days you'll deplete the intracellular histamine levels and the flushing effect will go away.

Now... does this benefit your circulation? Well it undeniably increases blood flow to the skin. But it won't have any significant, long-term impact on blood pressure, etc.

Cayenne pepper does have some anti-platelet effects - It makes your blood "smaller quantity sticky" and can lower blood pressure slightly, etc. It will also stimulate blood flow to the stomach when you take it (make sure you take the pills with food!)... and that can enjoy positive net effects in the long run, too.

Hope that's the kind of info you be looking for! Source(s): Naturopathic Doctor
