Answers:
Hello in that!
CK used to be a marker of Myocardial Infarction (MI).
However, CK is further sub-divided in to 3 iso-ennzymes, namley:
CK-MM (Present in Muscles)
CK-BB (Present within Brain)
CK-MB (Present in the heart)
So, practically, when an elevated CK level is present, over lapping may take place.
Therfore, in clinical findings nowadays, Troponins are the best available biomarkers of MI. They are highly specific, sensitive, and they are present surrounded by the blood 7 days post MI.
Silent or not, Troponins are by far, so far, the best indicators of MI.
