Question nearly drug testing (please answer if you know near any certainty)?
so i am going to nursing school in march and i took my drug try-out today. STUPIDLY i took an ativan a couple of days ago while flying. this is a benzo that will show up in my urine if they do a 10 panel drug test. i have a chock-full prescription for it that i just picked up at my pharmacy as proof that i obtained it legally. can the institution revoke their offer of acceptance even though i have the prescription properly? will the diagnostic company contact me before they contact the school? i don't really want to explain to the dean of students that from time to time i take sedative. anyone that has any experience, your advice would really be appreciated!!
Answers:
Because you're on a prescribed medication you are secure as long as you disclosed having had use of such meds
If you have a valid prescription for the Ativan, the school should not revoke their offer. The conducting tests company will notify the person who ordered the test and that person will contact you to verify the prescription. Source(s): Pharmacist
I have be an RN for over 35 years. If they booted out every nurse on benzos we would have very few nurses. As long as it is your script and the med count is correct every time you work no one care. Source(s): RN
